Chinanshu is a banker turned designer and maker of mixed media jewelry. She left her banking career to learn Jewelry Designing and Fabrication at Indian Institute of Gems and Jewelry – IIGJ, Jaipur
She likes to experiment with different things and anything that catches her eye from found objects, yarns, fabric, recycled motor parts, hardware equipment, stones, metal, grass, raffia, banana fibers, wood and much more. After completing her course she started making and selling her jewelry In India under the brand name – Paarisha By Chinanshu and expanded it over a period of 4-5 years to employ unskilled economically weaker women. She trained them to remake her prototypes and give them a safe environment to work and education for their kids.
She moved to the US in January 2018 and now operates out of her home studio working on mixed media jewelry. She believes you cannot stop making wherever you go it goes with you. Sustainability is always Mindfully incorporated in making of jewelry- from a choice of medium like Fabrics, found objects, Organic natural stuff like wood- raffia, pine needles, and stones to the process involved in making.
